PHYSIOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND HEAVY METAL TOLERANCE POTENTIAL OF BACTERIA FROM TEXTILE EFFLUENTS

 Heavy metal tolerant bacterial species were isolated from the textile effluents collected Faisalabad, Pakistan. Thirty samples subjected to heavy analysis. Nickel and Cobalt selected for further study on basis of their predominant concentration in all samples. Thirteen screened out as positive Ni bacteria 03 them had typical characteristics which tolerated up 08 mM. These identified AMIC1 (Klebsiella spp.), AMIC2 (Bacillus spp.) AMIC3 spp.). indigenous strains exhibited pronounced tolerance Co showed multi resistance (MMR) potential. Bacteria sample SarDP2 able tolerate 06mM MMR Ni, Cr (1:1:1) 5.5mM. Isolates RgrDP3 07mM 4.5mM. Similarly, isolates SarDP5 6.5mM It was concluded that these significant potential may be used development effective bioremediation agents detoxify at industrial surroundings within natural environments.
